Polish President Karol Nawrocki has embarked on a three-day official visit to the Philippines, focusing on enhancing political, economic, and technological collaboration between the two nations. Accompanied by First Lady Marta Nawrocka, President Nawrocki aims to solidify bilateral relations through a series of strategic meetings and events.
During his stay, President Nawrocki is set to meet with Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for discussions at both the bilateral and delegation levels. These talks are intended to explore avenues for cooperation and further strengthen the ties between Poland and the Philippines.
A key highlight of the visit is President Nawrocki’s participation in the 5th Polish-Philippine IT Business Summit. He will engage with participants in a Polish-Philippine hackathon, emphasizing the importance of technological exchange. Additionally, Nawrocki will meet with representatives from both Polish and Philippine businesses, seeking opportunities for deeper economic collaboration.
President Nawrocki’s itinerary also includes a visit to the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, where he will interact with students. Furthermore, he plans to meet with members of the Polish community in the Philippines and individuals who have contributed to the strengthening of Polish-Philippine relations.
On the final day of his visit, President Nawrocki will tour the Col. Jesus Villamor Air Base. This site is notable for hosting Black Hawk helicopters manufactured by Poland’s PZL Mielec, which have been acquired by the Philippine Air Force, symbolizing the ongoing defense and technological partnership between the two countries.
