Must Read

Ukraine anticipates receiving new financial support from the European Union as it strives to manage its budget and defense requirements, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. This expected assistance follows a recent €3.3 billion allocation directed towards weapons, underscoring the ongoing collaboration between Ukraine and its European allies.

In discussions with Odile Renaud-Basso, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Zelensky addressed the need for financial backing in Ukraine’s energy sector and the safeguarding of critical infrastructure. This dialogue also included considerations for supporting Ukrainian exporters and domestic producers, such as farmers, highlighting the broader economic implications of the ongoing conflict.

Additionally, Ukraine has solidified its defense priorities for October, focusing on long-range operations and planning for further F-16 aircraft supplies by year-end. As part of its defense strategy, Ukraine has chosen initial prototypes for an interceptor system designed to counter the threat posed by faster, jet-powered Shahed drones, with production timelines and funding currently under development.
